Very good Vietnamese food for Moreno Valley. Prices are a big high now, but that's everywhere with inflation.

We are regulars here because we come in every winter without fail. This is a GOOD pho. I've been to the two biggest Vietnamese communities in SoCal (Westminster in OC and San Gabriel in L.A.) so I know a good pho. My son also likes this place, and I would bring him here when he had a flu-like cold before the pandemic became a household name. For some reason, this pho is like some sort of tonic that would help him feel better after a visit here.

This restaurant is like NO FRILLS for the one-track-mind personality. This is one of those places that has A LOT of to-go orders. However, I advise that you eat your pho (soup) INSIDE the restaurant because it's not the same once they pack it into a styrofoam or plastic container when it is at near boiling point. You see, my spouse did pickup to-go here without letting me know first...and it just wasn't the same pho at home. Again! It's that one-track-mind thing! You will get your money's worth when you eat your pho *INSIDE* vs. to go

The broth is rich so you won't be getting a bland pho here. I don't need to add additional sauces or flavor (siracha, soy sauce, etc) since it is ON POINT. In fact, I'm afraid to add lemon or lime b/c it will ruin that Asiany taste that I get with a good pho, so I will add the lemon/lime to my water or at the point where I'm almost finished with my soup. You see, if I add lemon/lime to this beef pho, it will end up tasting just like my chicken soup at home!

Over the years, I tried a few other things on the menu from their spring rolls (ok) to the pork fried rice (good) to their very tasty sizzling beef platter (no surprise there!). People who know me are highly aware that I go for SIZZLING, table-cooked, and even flambé menu items including fiery desserts. Their sizzling beef is good... it's almost up there with Sizzler for this one. Boba drinks are another specialty here ~ taro just happens to be my favorite.

One thing I've consistently noticed about the casual Vietnamese restaurants including the "cash only" is that they never (rarely?) return to ask how you are doing (meaning your food). It's not "bad service", it's just that they don't want to interrupt you (aka bother you) if they see you grubbing big time, and my spouse particularly GIVES IT AWAY for this one cause he forgets to inhale when he is eating at Asian restaurants (he is obsessed with Asian food). AS LONG AS YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN AT YOUR FOOD *MORE* THAN YOU ARE STARING AT THEM (service staff) then they will be positively aware that you're OK somehow. The service is still friendly overall.

Just make sure NOT to hit this place on LUNAR NEW YEAR. They are one of the few businesses in the area that close on that day. See pic of the lunar new year (misspelled) sign they had on the door last year (we did not bother to go this year). Anyway, I posted a bunch of food pics so go to the top of this review and click on "photos" right under the five star rating.

Food was delicious! I ordered the brisket beef pho and spring rolls . Service was very fast but you do have to pay the bill at the front desk . The ambiance and decoration were nice just a little dusty.
